Board Member

Lauren joins Williamsburg Downtown having experienced the community as both an undergraduate student and now a seasoned professional. From a historic Main Street Community in Virginia, she understands the importance of developing a vibrant downtown community. Building connections and fostering relationships has always been at the heart of her professional and personal pursuits. Currently the Director of Student Transition Engagement Programs (STEP) within the Division of Student Affairs at William & Mary, Lauren’s 20+ year career in higher education has focused on belonging and community development at large (THE Ohio State University), small (Capital University), research (The University of New Hampshire), and specialty (Maine Maritime Academy) institutions. Lauren also spends time working with the university’s chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, an international co-ed service fraternity, and serving on The Wesley Foundation Board coordinating outreach and development. While she’s enjoyed the beauty of both urban and coastal living, there’s truly no place like Williamsburg!
