Santa Ron

Santa Ron made his red-suited debut in 1970 when he was stationed in Danang, Vietnam. As the only Marine who fluently spoke Vietnamese, he stepped into the role when his unit acquired a cheap costume and some toys to give to the local children. In 1999, Santa Ron returned to the suit and has been wearing it ever since. He has been the official Santa for Patrick Henry Mall, the Smithfield Toys4Tots parade, the Williamsburg Yankee Candle Village, and the Williamsburg Christmas parade. He was joined by his beloved Mrs. Claus in 2020.
